Communio in New Zealand is seeking an Anatomical Pathologist to join our team on an initial 12-month contract, with the intention that this could become a permanent appointment. We are a private company providing forensic and coronial pathologist services in 5 locations in New Zealand. We provide approximately 50% of autopsies in New Zealand and contract 25 pathologists across our locations. The role is part-time performing autopsies, or full time including laboratory work.
All the Communio mortuaries are accredited and provide high quality services. Pathologists are supported by qualified Mortuary Technicians and Administrative Support Staff and are invited to participate in Communio’s programme of continuous medical education.

The successful applicant will enjoy having work-life balance, and will be expected to complete approximately 220 autopsies per annum (full time). Most of the autopsies would be done in your home location but there will be some travel to other New Zealand mortuaries as required.
