FORENSIC PATHOLOGISTS  - INCENTIVE PAYMENT TO COMMENCE IN MAY 2026 6-12 month contract or longer  SALARY NEGOTIABLE BASED ON EXPERIENCE

We are seeking a Forensic Pathologist to escape to New Zealand and join our Communio team mid 2026.  We are a private company with a team of 20 pathologists providing forensic pathologist services in 5 locations in New Zealand.

All the Communio mortuaries are accredited and provide high quality services. Pathologists are supported by qualified Mortuary Technicians and administrative support staff and are invited to participate in Communio’s programme of continuous medical education.

The job duties include:

• Performing autopsies on behalf of the Coroner and completing reports
• Court testimony as required
• Assisting with training Anatomical Pathologists and Mortuary Technicians
• Participating in a rotating on-call roster. (No overnight services are required.)
• Providing holiday cover for other Forensic Pathologists as required

The successful applicant will enjoy having work-life balance, and will be expected to complete approximately 250 autopsies per annum. Most of the autopsies would be done in your home location but there will be some travel to other New Zealand mortuaries as required.

Requirements:

• MD degree with American Board of Pathology certification in anatomic pathology
• Board eligibility in forensic pathology
• Ability to be registered by the Medical Council of New Zealand
