Reon joined Communio in 2012 at Bereavement Care Services, Middlemore Hospital.
Prior to this he had worked as a sales and service manager for a leading NZ retailer, managing sales teams across Auckland stores. He therefore, brought a wealth of experience with people and team management and was able to transfer and apply this knowledge to the mortality sector.
Reon then worked for a whaanau owned NZ Funeral Home as a Funeral Director, returning to Communio in 2018 as Operations Support for Coronial Transport. During this time, he was an integral part of the team supporting the building of the Coronial Support Services IT infrastructure.
Reon returned to Bereavement Care Services in 2020 as the Team Leader/Mortuary Manager and is a member of Communio’s Senior Leadership team, leading Bereavement Care Services, Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI) and Coronial Tissue Return services as the Bereavement Services Manager.
Reon is also a practicing Justice of the Peace supporting many communities from all walks of life, and is passionate about following Tikanga processes surrounding tuupaapaku and whaanau.
With his wealth of experience and passion in the mortality sector, Reon has proven himself as a successful and well-respected leader.
