Communio is proud to offer a two-year training and development programme to become a trained Mortuary Technician. During this training programme candidates will gain the knowledge and practical skills needed to excel as a Mortuary Technician in one of a number of mortuaries across the Communio network.
Communio is a medium sized private company that has been established in New Zealand since 1995. We provide national services (including coronial transport providers, SUDI (Sudden Unexplained Death of Infants) investigations, and Coronial tissue return), Bereavement Care Services based at Middlemore Hospital and mortuary services in five locations across New Zealand.

Training will be provided in a number of ways including online learning modules, practical teaching sessions, mentoring from a senior technician, and external courses provided by various training organisations. At the conclusion of the program, the right candidates will be invited to apply for a fulltime permanent role as a qualified mortuary technician.
